Where is it?:
The crips is installed some weeks before Christam at a couple of meters below the lake surface. It can be seen from the Lugano promenade (Lungolago) located between the Lugano’s city hall and the Casino.

History:
During one of its many underwater tours in the beautiful water in front of our Club House in Paradiso, in the silence of the deep waters, our Alessandro Rossi started to think that maybe in Lugano we were missing something important that could have made the happiness of residents and the many tourists present during the Christmas time.
Something that was already present since many years in the Italian part of the Lugano lake and in other Ticino’s lakes: a nice underwater crib.
No sooner said … than done! It wasn’t an easy task but our Alessandro with the sustain of the LuganoSub committee looked for some sponsors and collaborations with other clubs and societies, in particular with the sezione pesca golfo di Lugano, the società federale ginnastica Lugano and the Amici del lago Ceresio.
Together they succeeded in realizing their dream: inaugurated in December the 22nd 2018, the first two editions did have a great success.
Now Alessandro and his friends are already thinking to enrich the crib with some more statues
